Could I get an ID on the name of this zoo? It fell off a colony in a LFS and I asked about the sale. With luck it turned out to be a freebie but I did by another colony in the tank which is a nice blue with a hairy skirt like jelly fish.

No way.......ugh, the whole rock at the LFS looked like these. These were pretty hardy to glue to the plug last night then opened today. So I'll have to wait a week or two for then to either color up or die. I'll opt for the first.button polyps bleached out?
Faded and a chance to color up sounds positive to me. I'm patient and will look forward to the change, day by day. Nothing happens fast in a reef tank except a leak.look like maybe a faded grandis to me. they want just die, they should color up for you
It might still color up to be something really nice though. One of my favorite corals is my button polyp colony, and these started out drabbish brown.

Excellent, as I googled the palythoa grandis, cinnamon grandis. I found exactly what they are and how they will look. A very well worth paly to grow out with the rest of the zoos and later share with other enthusiasts if they're interested. They typically get the name palythoa grandis and sometimes get the name cinnamon grandis.

Thanks for the welcome revhtreeHey charga welcome to CZ!!![]()
