I'm curious if anyone knows what type of sponge ? I have several on my rock that have grown since I added it a few months ago. They usually start off small and dark red, always have the shape shown here, and have the ability to close off the ends of the siphons. This one is the largest/oldest and is about 2 inches tip to tip.
If not a sponge, is it a type of sea squirt?
