ID on white stringy stuff

Any idea what these little white strings are? Are they good or bad? And how to get rid of them.. my setup is about 1.5 years old mature tank. Recently started seeing them and now they are almost everywhere. Thank you! (Not my pic)

They are in all my tanks. They come and go. Never caused any harm.

Thank you all for the info! Ill continue to keep a close eye on my corals but so far everything looks good..
