[Panicked Reefer]

I am getting over run by this. I can't tell if it's GHA or Briopsis. I pull it 1 to 2 times a week and nothing will eat it. I am considering a sea hare but am a bit skiddish about that. I woukd like to make sure on what I'm dealing with before I go with a sea hare or reeflux. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like Bryopsis. Likely B. Plumosa judging by the density. Or, possibly Derbesia. Maybe D. lamourouxii.

Remove the rock from the tank and manually remove as much of the algae as possible. Then, scrub the areas with a stiff bristled brush and treat the attachment areas with H202. Once you return the rock to the tank, treat the system with Reef Flux according to the manufacturer's instruction(s).

Rock removal is not possible. I can manually remove but I would imagine due to the large coverage of it I would have to do the H2O2 in sections as to not over saturate the tank with H202 or have a destabilizing effect on the biome.

Understandable. You can manually remove as much as possible, and using a siphon, scrub at the attachment points with a toothbrush. Then treat with Reef Flux. Best of luck, and keep us posted. I know how rough it can be, battling an invasion like this. Been there, trust me. You'll get through it, and be all the more strong for it in the end!

I think they are 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. Anecdotally, I have Reef Flux on hand and have not used Flux Rx, but I believe they are both Flucanazole. So, Band-aid vs. Adhesive Bandage.
