Nitrate: 10
Phosphate: 0.09
Tank is 11 months old. Ugly stage went away at month 6 and this is the first time it has reappeared. Stuff is starting to take over tank. Been turkey basting it primarily off the corals and it has been upsetting some of them (the zoa in the pic is upset for another reason but just shows what the algae is like). Pretty much comes back in minutes then gets a lot heavier after about a day. I think it’s Dinos but I’m unsure. Recently had a nitrate problem, but as of a week or two ago, they have risen back up. Conch snail died so he hasn’t been able to keep things in check either. Added additional blue led strips around the time this started to pick up about 3-4 weeks later.

Looks like snot, do you have a microscope? Do you run GFO by chance?
I forgot to mention I just started using GFO 2 months ago, and it has still kept my levels in good parameters 8 weeks later (BRS GFO recommends replacement every 4-8 weeks). I have kept it in there because it is keeping my phosphate levels in check, but is there another reason why I would need to replace it that may be causing this algae to appear?

I’m not sure that’s Dino’s could be regular GH A can you take A pictures under white lights? . A lot of times green looks brown under many lights. Like mine. Annoys me.

For starters do pull the gfo. Ferrous oxide can be strong. A tablespoon is generally sufficient. It appears you are talking Dino.
Prepare by starting with a water change and blow this stuff loose with a turkey baster and siphon up loose particles.
Turn lights off (at least white and run blue at 10-15%) for 5 days and at night dose 1ml of hydrogen peroxide per 10 gallons for all 5 nights. If you dont have light dependent coral- turn all lights off.
During the day dose 1ml of liquid bacteria (such as bacter 7) per 10 gallons.
Clean filters daily and DO NOT FEED CORAL FOODS OR ADD NOPOX as it is food for dinos.
Day 5,, you can start with blue lights - ramping up and work your white lights up slowly

Those are the whites, and it is brown. Sometimes, some strands have bubbles in them.

I'll start by pulling the GFO then possibly going into those measures if necessary.
