Ehhhhh. Some hydroids are nasty but not super common. They can stingy what's around them. Some people seem them come and then leave. My tank has some moderately annoying but not overwhelmingly problematic hydroids.

Never disappeared in my tank. Then again, I keep my reef water column much more natural than most.

I think it is this kind, but it's hard for me to tell which kind since there are so many. They cluster in a few spots on my tank
