I looks like a red stringy mat that seems to lose color when the lights go out. The tank was a combination of 3 tanks into one, all but one of the tanks was setup a few years. The combination tank has been running for 8 months now. I'm not actively trying to remove the algae just looking for an id. This was my first use of the microscope so I kinda of amazed at what I'm seeing and just looking to id it. I know its bad red algae or whatever it is but it sure looks cool under the scope, lol.
