ID please. Old pic, need to know for closure

This pic is from a few years back but I never got a definite answer on what this was. It was a hitchhiker that came with 2 other corals on a rock. When it came, it was completely flat against the rock and literally snuck in.

Any suggestions are def welcome!

Looks like it could be a developing Elegans/Catalaphyllia, did it get bigger?

Does it have a soft base or calcium?

It was completely soft, seemed to have no skeleton what so ever. Yes it ate and did get bigger..

Thanks I have a book on ID of stuff like this and I will look it up tonight when I get home to see if I can find it. It rings a bell but I can't remember the name of it.

Yes please do because I am stumped. The unknown looks like it has a skeletal structure, almost Pectinia type.

It is the stripes on the base that gives it a skeletal structure look. I thought the same thing when I first seen it so I had to ask soft or not. I am pretty sure they typically grow individually or in small groups. In lower light with good flow areas. I will look it up because it is bugging me to. lol

Thank you for taking the time to take a crack at this.. I also noted when I originally posted this on instagram trying to figure out what it was that it was very nem like.. It could deflate and lay completely flat almost how extremely unhappy acans look. But on that note acans have skeletal base so maybe there is one under there.

The picture doesn't do the sides much justice but the sides are fleshy with the color being orange/brown. Reminded me of anemone foot.

Are there rows of tentacle or just a single row?

It's like it had a single row around the rim but clustered in places.. then of course there is the antenna like thing extending from the center.

This has been my curse! Closure in the title was the perfect word as the rock with this coral was moved to a friends tank more than a year ago and I still wonder about it!

Did the unknown always have that antenna object sticking out of it. Are the two other corals in the image provided?

No that if I remember correct was a random behavior.. The mouth if you will would recede to make a cupcake like shape with flat top. The other coral was Xenia and..... let me find a pic. This thing was tiny.
