twinspots goby - There was no disrespect intended in my post. I hope you do not take any from it. My point is, what would you like to call it. All these names, IMO, are pretty silly. It is what it is,
A REALLY AWESOME AND NEAT LOOKING CHALICE.
It truely is georgous whatever you decide to call it. I don't think you can ever really say for sure what it is other than a red, blue, and green chalice coral. If you ever decide to frag it and sell a piece, I would love to be in line for one. Enjoy your great find. Mark

frank - i didn't really think it looked like blastos. the shape/color *reminds* me of blastos, but i am certain they are not actually blastos.
very odd growth form, though.
i really think you should call it the "frankenstein".
