Hello!

Looking for an ID on something. Sorry the picture didn't turn out as nice as I thought it would. Background - tank is 1 month old - this sea fan was with the live rock package I received from Tampa Bay Saltwater.

This is the full view of the fan:

In the upper left quadrant there is something that looks like an upside down "T". The long axis is running north/south along one of the branches and then the horizontal axis is wrapped around the branch. It seems fairly rigid...if I touch it with a pointy chopstick (my gorilla crab spear fisher), it moves around like a tiny twig or stick.

I'd like to know if I should pull it off. It have not noticed any movement.

Thanks!
Rick

Thanks @cloak. It has not moved so my first thought is no...but then again it is the same basic shape. I will take a closer look tonight!

Maybe a bristleworm? Really tiny one? Likely not since it hasn't moved.
