ID please, sponge?

Need some help with an ID please. Is this a sponge or something else? Here are a few photos from a couple different angles. It’s been growing a little over the last couple months and now it seems there are several others starting to grow in the tank, and one on the return pump in the sump.

By the spreading trend, should I get them out?

Are the tubes coming from a central mass, or are they separate? If they are from the same mass, then yes. you've got a sponge. Completely harmless.

Really don’t think the one on the return pump will have a long shelf life!
