came home today and discovered i do have a hitchhiker after all. it lives in a small cavern in one of my rocks. it is definitely a worm of some sort. white to aqua blue- green in color. had a star-like set of retractable antennae around its mouth. cant get a good pic through the curved glass. appeared to rip off chunks of red-brown algae. im thinkin its ok but would love confirmation.... thanks everyone.

have looked through the hitchhikers guide and not seeing anything like it. gotta be a polykeate of some sort cause i did see individual segments. no legs though.

Google "Peanut Worm," to see if it looks like that.
after reading the wikipedia article and looking at picture its gotta be. what i have is really tiny atm but strikingly similar. excited to get a glimpse of an unknown inhabitant, bonus that its a beneficial one. thanks again returnofsid. so glad to have found this community.
