hello. I had been at the hospital with my hubby for few days. I get back and found this in my sump. it wasn't there 5 days ago. any ideal what they are. im assuming types of algae maybe and sponge???

The bottom one looks like some pineapple sponges to me

First pics look to be bacteria and agree that the last pic are pineapple sponges.

In the first couple of pictures, are you talking about the white "rod" or just the slime at it's base? It it attached to a surface or is it standing up on it's own? It's not a sponge, because it has a non-sponge pattern to it. Maybe some sort of tunicate?
