What is this stuff growing on my rocks

Good question!
Would have to see it a lot closer to know what it is and at that it is hard to find an exact ID based on cell structure.
Maybe @Lionfish Lair has some input

Doesn't seem to be harming anything just looks horrible. I've been sucking it out and water changes keeps coming. Back my rodi reads at 0 tds but it's been about 8 months since I changed the filters so I just ordered those.

A lot of time with these threads people are dosing something. Are you adding anything to your tank?

Can you siphon it out? Is it every where? Do you have any egg crate in the tank? Feeding any specialized products like foods for sponges, amino acids?

Same issue but darker color. Started showing when I feed frozen food. Could be bacteria maybe ?

yes. It could be. yours is different though. I believe its a soft colonial algae. so aminos Vc extra nutrints would all contribute to growth.
I had some pop up in an experiment tank. The sort answer was to scrub and remove it and add a diverse snail crew and pods actually. Never came back.

I have been siphoning it out. I do have a little bit of egg crate in sump and In display tank. I feed frozen food. LRF and Cyclopes. Thinking back this started shortly after feeding Cyclopes. I will cut back on that and see if it helps.

I have an assortment of snails and hermits. Not sure exactly what kinds of snails, but I can up the population if snails will help with this.
it may. I pulled the rocks and scrubbed, you can also siphon and scrub too . once I added the rock back in and beefed up the crew, a lot of weird stuff never came back.
