I noticed this little guy tonight. He looked like a snail that had just got below the sand line. But as he started moving (slowly) it looked more like the top of his "shell" was soft and pliable. Almost like an arm of an octopus (I know that it is not the arm of an octopus, it just was able to twist).

Any ideas?

In googling chiton, it appears that it is a keeper. Do you agree? or a remove from the tank activity?
 
Leave it! They're cool.

Where yours is bending like that, it could be the Cryptoplax variety.
