Id please

I had a Apitasia infestation years ago. Bought 2 peppermint shrimp that quickly ate them all. If you see one there are likely more.

Hi mate
Found the name I was looking for but looks like he doesn't come on much
I'll still call him just in case he does
@Billy_OBrien
Also look up he's thread , show me your gonis

It's in the general lps discussion forum ...Bit lol
Also from what iv read your best chance with this coral is to try and feed it a few times a day ......Some type of make up slush , or reefroids , or gonipower I think it's called
Sorry I couldn't be of more help and good luck with it

I feed mine a mix of phyto, fuel, reef chili and RO water and the diesel secret ingredient (ask him). Mix a batch each week and feed daily. You need good nutrient export to be able to feed them the way they need, or your tank nutrient levels get too high.
@Diesel

Here's a pic of mine , I just turn off the pumps and blow some reefroids at it with a turkey baster , it's never gave me any trouble apart from wanting to fight all the corals around it
Pic 2 is a pink or red goni my lfs has and I'm thinking on getting it . Real nice

That second one looks like the ORA Red Goni. They are hardy and easiest of the gonis to keep in tank. The green gonis are a bit more fickle from what I have read.

Hope it is easy to keep as I'm thinking about going to get it tomorrow lol
Im with you on the green ones being harder to keep aswell ....Seems like it's the bright green ones aswell

yeah I had to get the hardest of them all....I will give him some time, I don't want to overfeed either since I'm still fighting my nitrate problem but I'm hoping he bounces back. will post any more updates. Also that dang apistasia is in a spot on the powerhead that I couldn't take apart to reach him. I think I will have to buy some of that apistasia x or maybe I can soak the powerhead in lemon juice? It is in between the magnet and the powerhead and I couldn't figure out how to get it apart without breaking it.

AiptasiaX works just fine , if your doing it in tank just make sure you turn off all flow
Try to drop the first bit into the center disc ..Mouth first than cover the whole aipt with it , should kill it as it looks small
Good luck

You can also soak the powerhead in vinegar, should take care of the little bugger and not dangerous to your tank if a bit remains on powerhead.

I have one that did the exact same thing. Never had good poly extension for at least a month. I tried feeding it with not avail. I switched over to the Zeovit UNL system and it seems like over night the entire tank had a positive response. Can't pinpoint what did it, but the Goni looks so good the old lady thought I snuck out and bought another one. A ZEO head might jump in explain what may have happened. I think it may be your nitrates.

good luck.
