i think this maybe some kind of sponge, it's popping up everywhere. It's yellow. Is it bad?

It is a sponge. It's great tank diversity.
The only negative I've seen with these guys is on a frag that they almost suffocated.
Usually they grow in cryptic areas of your tank (unless on a frag lol apparently)
