looks like an anemone but had a hard bottom instead of a foot so i was looking around and it looks like it might be a long tentacle plate coral, is it? If so are they easy to keep?

They can be very difficult to keep. I have had two and neither one liked to open up for me. They are very beautiful but picky. They like to be fed meaty food at least once a week and parameters need to be stable.

Heliofungia actiniformis. They do enjoy being fed, I feed them weekly or twice per week depending on the size of food. Not necessarily hard to keep but not easy, you'll get mixed reports.

Its opened a little more then the picture shows now, is this a good sign? Its really cool i fed him some mysis earlier

They are REALLY cool. A great alternative to an anemone.

Yes it is, they can (and will) extend quite far at times. Here's two of my most recent one's, regular extention for these had flesh a little over an inch from either side of the skeleton.

Wow theyre huge! How big do these guys get? I have an adventurous scooter blenny that im sure is gonna take a nose dive onto him one day, does he sting fish like anemones do?

They definitely could, but I never have issues with them. The pink one in the picture by itself was in between two T5 fixtures in my flat, and they were 18" apart. So that one was huge. Can't remember an exact adult size, I think around a foot of skeleton. But they're long lived polyps so reaching that size will take a while.
