It's about the size of a BB probably even smaller. Asterina star? But it's green.

Yup...many different varieties.

Agreed, asterina. Numerous different species and some reports of them munching on coral. You can remove if you want or let it be, however they will populate like crazy given a decent food source so in that regard they can be a nuisance.

Thank you. I should probably get a little specimens container to hold hitchhikers until I find out what they are, I lost where the star is now . Pretty cool that it's been surviving the cycle.

They're pretty hardy. They seem to thrive in poor water conditions -- when my nitrates and phosphates went up I could always tell they were out of control by how fast their populations boomed.

Found it and killed it with tweezers not sure if that's the best method.. we'll find out if it multiplys or not [emoji14] as cool as they are I'm not sure i want them in my tank as I've read some horror stories
