Tank is fairly new, about 3 months (started with TBS rock and sand). All other algae has subsided, some on the glass but not much. Nothing on the rocks at all besides some macro that came on them.

Looks like some kind of hair algae but it also looks kinda fuzzy. I i grab a piece to pull it out it comes up with a film(?) like base layer that brings out the very top layer of sand. In the pictures you see tufts of it, but that whole area is all connected by this film. If i clean it all out it will be back within a day or two.

NO3 and PO4 are right about 0, dosing with no3po4-x. 43 gallon tank, dosing about 3ml a day. In addition to dosing nopox i have started a chaeto reactor about a week ago and that is starting to grow nicely.
All other params are basically right. mag 1340, alk 9.5, cal 440, salinity 1.025.

Hair Algae

I have never seen hair algae that looks anything like this, nor can i find a picture searching.

I understand that the thick green spots look similar, but what i am concerned with is everything around it. My camera is not out of focus, all that blurry area is some kind of algae.

Here is a picture from right now, strands of reddish material coming off it today. In the picture is a spider decorator crab wearing hair algae that used to be growing on a sponge before i removed it a week ago.
