I’ve never seen anything like this. I found it in the sump stuck to the bottom glass and to a bag of carbon. I managed to gently peel the bag off, by next morning it had moved to the top of a baffle.

How big is this specimen? The format reminds me of the hairy sea cucumber Sclerodactyla briareus...

Cowrie - if you touch it, it will retract the soft foot and covering revealing the shell.

It doesn’t seem to react, at this point I haven’t seen any kind of shell. When it was under the carbon bag it was stuck on the glass underneath it and the bag was stuck to its back.

Is its consistency hard or soft? How do you react to the touch?

I suspect that Jose Mayo's right, and you've got a little sea cucumber there.

Were I to find such a creature in my tank, I'd gently (and keeping it in a cup of water) lift the little guy up into my display.

From what I googled I believe he is correct. I’d like to move it to the display but I need to get it to release from the glass. I might put some sand in the sump and see if it will move into it.
