I’ve never seen anything like this. I found it in the sump stuck to the bottom glass and to a bag of carbon. I managed to gently peel the bag off, by next morning it had moved to the top of a baffle.

It doesn’t seem to react, at this point I haven’t seen any kind of shell. When it was under the carbon bag it was stuck on the glass underneath it and the bag was stuck to its back.
 
I suspect that Jose Mayo's right, and you've got a little sea cucumber there.

Were I to find such a creature in my tank, I'd gently (and keeping it in a cup of water) lift the little guy up into my display.

From what I googled I believe he is correct. I’d like to move it to the display but I need to get it to release from the glass. I might put some sand in the sump and see if it will move into it.
