Not sure what this encrusting coral / algae is. Has some small polps, although not in this picture. Friend or foe?

Perhaps Heliopora coerulea/Blue Ridge Coral. Another distinct possibility is Fire Coral/Millepora alcicornis. Polyps look too small for Porities.

If it's Millepora, it can be a pain, as it can irritate the heck out of your skin. That's why it's called fire coral.

Blue ridge isn't a problem, just sort of bland looking...
