Just showed up out of nowhere. I haven’t made any additions to the reef in quite a while. Is it a sea hare or something to worry about?

Elysia sp. good CUC;) Feed on filamentous algae and Caulerpa.

Agree with Elysia, aka Lettuce Slug. Your hitchhiker is plain and not super frilly, but sometimes these slugs can be quite beautiful.

Voracious algae eaters, including bryopsis. I recently had a small outbreak of bryopsis, bought 8 lettuce slugs, 2 weeks later all bryopsis (and most other algae) is gone and I'm concerned that the slugs will now starve.

Lettuce Slugs are interesting. They're not nudibranchs; they have no external gills, actually no gills at all; gas exchange is through the skin surface, thus they need the larger surface area created by the frills.
