I think this is bryopsis. Am I correct?

Yup! I couldn't see anything in the second picture so I just went off the first one.

Wait it out before you do anything and see if it starts spreading. I have some bryopsis in my refugium...but nowhere in the display tank. It has to compete for food just like everything else!

Thanks! Other than 2 trochus snails, it's currently the only thing in my tank so I guess I have to get something in there to compete with it lol. Tank is 3 weeks old and I've noticed a few little tufts like that scattered about my rock work.

Bry, I'd try to scrape off and siphon what you can before it takes hold if you can, but there are options should it get out of hand.

I got what I could out shortly after taking this pic. Theres still a few spots left that I missed. I'll probably order some fluconazole tomorrow just to have it on hand in case

I'm usually not one for chasing w/ chems, but this stuff did work for me, and I had to too, started w/ kinda dirty rock and had a bad outbreak of bryopisis and HA, that stuff did the trick.

If I'm not mistaken, Bryopsis uses a root system. You can't possibly "pull" it all out.

Your tank is new, hence why I recommended waiting. You can wait until you know it's an issue, or you can keep pulling it, and pretty soon your rocks are covered and you're wondering what gives.

Tested my phosphates and they came back 0 so I took a sample to my LFS and they confirmed 0 phosphates as well. Im going to leave the bryopsis alone at this time, but I will be ordering fluconazole and have it on hand as I'm noticing it popping up in more areas. Any recommendations on where to buy it from?
