I first noticed it as a blob a little over a year ago on the side of the acro you see it next to. I almost scraped it off but I held off. Then around a month later I noticed small slivers growing up and realized it was a coral. When I upgraded to the sixty five gallon and increased the flow this thing started growing exponentially. It doubled in size in about 3 months. It doesn’t look like the pink or purple pocillopora I have in the tank but I’ve never seen a birds nest like it either. The polyps fluoresce but nothing else so far. Any input would be appreciated! The body is an off-gray color.

Think my acro’s going to have any issues with it? It’s growing a lot faster than the acro
They do grow very fast which is one of the reasons I like them. I have one growing next to an acro and it has managed to burn part of the acro’s base. My experience is you have to keep them trimmed.
