Bumblebee snail and vermetid snails. You asking about the striped snail or the white tubes?

Sorry the snail but what are the white tubes thanks for replying

Looks like a bumblebee snail which is reef safe. The whit tubes are vermetid snails which are generally ok, but can irritate corals with mucus. You can superglue the openings so they cant get out and starve, but I prefer to remove the tubes and snail with a tweezers.

Thanks very much for the help very new to this so it’s interesting to find out what things come with live rock thanks again

That looks similar to a bumblebee snail but they are more yellow and black while yours is white and black. The opening of yours flares open while bumblebees are more pointed. Yours has a more spiral shape to the shell while bumblebees are more smooth. It almost looks like a cross between a cerith and a bumblebee. Sorry I don't know what it is, but I don't think it's a bumblebee. Just watch it to see what it is eating.

The white tubes look like tube worms to me, vermitids are generally a tight spiral with a vertical tube, mine are all purple as well. Not sure on the snail in question, I would google image whelk snail, and make sure it’s not on of them.

Definitely not a bumblebee snail, the shell is more cerith snail texture both that’s not it either. Can you get a picture of it’s foot?

hi thanks for the reply I’ve just posted it in the hitchhikers and critters ID forum

hi when he reappears I will get a better picture of him thanks for replying
