I’m not sure what this is, but can’t seem to find anything on it. Not sure if it’s something to worry about or not. Sorry for the pictures, only have my iPhone. Pictures are in and out of water. Thank you!

some sorta sponge from the looks of it but im a pro at id's. is that a new rock? if so could be a hitchhiker.have to scrub it off maybe.

No, it’s not a new rock, I bought the tank used about 6 months ago so I’m not exactly sure how old it is, but it has a decent sized Kenya tree growing on it. I thought about scrubbing it off, but didn’t want to If it was something that was beneficial.
 
if it is growing like mad than it is not beneficial and thus a bad sponge if it is super slow growing and manageable it is good to keep on the rock as a rule of thumb. I'm sure some one with more xp will chime in.
 
Sponges are filter feeders and require Si. I personally leave them alone. They don't grow fast and the diversity in the tank is pretty neat.
 
Hard to tell pics on my phone but appears to be leftover tissue from dying Euphyllia coral
 
Sponge harmless, good for nutrient export
