You can scrub it off with a tooth brush if you desire. Otherwise there’s no harm.

Keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't grow & over take the Hammer. I have 2 sponges on a rock that grew from a dime size to well over the size of a silver dollar in about 8 months. I have a Rock Flower anemone on the same rock so I keep watch.

Edit: Yours is much prettier than mine. lol

Im going to scrub it off. First time i saw it around a dime size 2 weeks ago. Now it cover one branch
