my tank is coming back to life after 10 years and now ro/di water and pumps. new lights and this sand growth seems to be happening.
hope the pic is good enough. can anyone id please?

The blue lights make IDing difficult but looks like diatoms

do I just let it run it's course? Have been vacuuming sand but doesn't seem to pull it out

They will eventually go away once the silica dissipates in the tank. Increasing water flow to the area will also help
