ID Please

Hi All:

Hoping to get an ID on this white growth on LR. It’s the spiny looking stuff that’s underneath that piece of shelf rock. Soft to the touch. I’m It’s also starting to show up on the tips of an SPS as well. Thanks!

A spomge or tunicate of some sort? Ask @KJ . He know everything. That's not a joke btw, he like always seems to know even the scientific names of things while the rest of us are just like "Oh that's a pod".

Sponge. It is trim able or you can leave it as is

I was thinking sponge too but the growth on the otherwise healthy SPS tips is throwing me off. My tank is fairly healthy but my growth isn’t great so I was hoping to rule out whatever this might be.
