I ordered a zoanthid coral online and this guy is in the bag with the coral. The coral looks very angry and unhappy and I think there might be eggs as well. My fear is a zoanthid spider. If it is, how can I treat my coral?

AquaSD. I have not even opened the bag that it came in yet. (I just got home a little bit ago)
I would be contacting them and asking for a full refund.
I bought a bunch of corals from them about 5 weeks ago. Yesterday I found and killed an Aiptasia on one of the plugs.

It looks like the zoanthid is covered in eggs too. I don't think I even want to try and battle such an aggressive pest.

The reason being I am still very new to the hobby and I got the zoas since they were one of the easier corals to learn with, but I will fully admit dealing with a spider like this is well out of my league. If it was just a matter of dipping it and QT, I could manage but I'm not prepared to battle for months against a pest that in the end might hurt my DT.

FWIW Aqua SD used to be my LFS and their tanks are well maintained for the most part as far as pests go. At least they were when I lived there. I've seen much, much worse since moving up to LA. A few places up here I just wont buy from, not worth the risk. And they're good people, they'll take care of you I'm sure.

All the other corals I ordered from them arrived healthy and pest free as far as I can tell.

Update: I got a hold of AquaSD and they are going to replace the Zoa for me and apologized for my hitchhiker. As for looking around the forum and what not, I'm going to try to do my best to QT and observe. I don't know if I will be successful, but I will use it as a learning experience.
