tunicate?? need better pic..i'm blind..lol @samnaz ,"alien" :)

Almost certainly a tunicate. A good guy in my books, quite hard to sustain however. Do you still have it now?

That’s a shame but not really surprising. They filter a lot of water feeding on I’m not exactly sure what to be honest. Tunicates are such fascinating creatures. Are you adding any phytoplankton and/or other small particulate feeds for filter feeders?

Looks to me like a filter feeding sea cucumber or sea squirt which would be a member of tunicata (tunicate family)

No need to.
Sea squirt is filter feeder. It absorbs water with edible particles through the siphon and separates plankton and algae from the water in the pharynx and lower parts of digestive system.
Some species of sea squirts use tentacle-like structures to catch jellyfish and small fish.
Sea squirts use second siphon for the elimination of waste products.

No need to what? Try and feed it?

No I have not been feeding it. It is new live rock I recently got and it is in qt for 76 days. Which that time is up now but with the holidays I have not got it in the tank yet. Hoping to get that done this week!

Have you found any other cool hitchhikers on the rock? :)
yes, a crab that was a bad guy, tiny pencil urchin the size of a pencil eraser. Urchin is still doing great and growing, a few tiny bristle stars.

There’s always a dodgy crab. ;) Pencil urchins are cool but can munch on corals so one to keep your eye on for the future.

It's a FOWLR tank so no worries about the urchin.
