Bought 2 new frags today need help with id please and thank you

Left looks like cloves, right looks like frogspawn

left is alveopora, right is i think an octospawn or frogspawn(hard to tell when retracted a bit)

As a general rule of thumb, and I don’t say this admonish you, but you shouldn’t buy frags if don’t know what they are or what kind of care they need.

Have to agree here- We all have cell phones. Get the name at the LFS or booth if swap meet and research before handing over the money

While I understand and dont necessarily disagree with the sentiment, the live sale format promotes and encourages impulse buys. Given how heavily this forum relies on live sales, the lecturing against that behavior is a bit of a weird juxtaposition to me.

Ive shopped live sales the last 9+ years and I realize you have to move quick or lose But I also make dog gone sure that I get the name to assure I recieve what I bidded on.
EVERY vendor for live sale has a checkout process with a purchase history and it will show name and small thumb pic of each coral. Even if no pic- I can as an example look up bowerbanki on my packing slip and come up with a description.
Not saying one is lazy or blind to purchase but this has been a growing request and Im more concerned with not live sales but 7-8 corals from an LFS and a request is made for names of each one.
I would hope LFS knows and allows a person to seek care requirements.
