This just started growing and has doubled size in a couple days. Initially thought feather duster but haven't seen anything come out.

Looks like a larger species of vermetid snail. Most people generally get rid of them as their feeding web can irritate coral and they have the ability to overpopulate in a tank

Gosh that would be sad. I did see a net cast looking web around it one time
 
If that piece is easily removable, I would take it out and take some snips to it remove as much as possible. The key with their removal is being sure to get the worm inside. Some just smash them. Some use superglue or kalk paste

I can't believe it could make its home so quick and it being so large. Ya I'll remove it, it's in an easy spot to break off. Thank you.
