in your pic, is it stuck to the glass or was it swimming? looks like a jelly fish to me.
You would have to feed it live phyto then zooplankton

I'd recommend removing it if possible - hydroids can become invasive. There's various threads on R2R on treatments if it does become an issue. They usually will stick to the rock or glass, but when they do float around they tend to pulse like jellyfish

So it's really visible to the naked eye? The Hydroids quoted in the article (have them all the time in my temperate tanks, no clue why they are "Bad") are Macroscopic. I see them on the glass as big white pencil dots, but would never be able to see them in the water column. Also is it just this one?

I have seen at least 3. Today was first time I saw one swim. And pretty fast.
It's about 5mm dia

These are baby jellyfish which look different than hydroids but similar.

Show me a pic of hydroid that is similar to his picture... I looked but couldn’t find one. Remember this is roughly 5mm in size. I am not saying it isn’t, just not finding it.

I found a few swimming hydroids (of some sort) in chaeto/pods QT when I was cleaning up,,, days after I already moved the chaeto/pods to DT. (Luckily never saw any in DT).

Too many species for me to venture a guess but here's one swimming in QT I was cleaning up:
