Found this in my tank months ago then it was just gone. Not sure if it moves or this is a new one but it’s back. Tried to find it in other threads but nothing.

Do you have a white light photo? Is it soft/flowing?

Looks soft but not flowing just kind of pasted to the rock.

Looks kinda like a platygyra coral but can’t say for sure. Hopefully others will have better insight.

Google photo ID said montipora coral and it does kinda look like that kind of pattern. It is beside of an orange monti

That is an egg mass of a snail or slug or nudibranch

Ordered a cleanup crew so I have a mix of turbo, astrea, nerite, and cerith. I haven’t bought any slugs or nudibranch.

Most likely the fish will just eat them.
