ID plz?

Still working with actinic photography so forgive the pic. I picked these up this weekend, very small polyps, light aqua blue with gold skirts. Anyone familiar with these? And settings for actinic shots appreciated

Looks like a Hornet. They have tiny polyps and that distinctive inner ring. How much did yo get them for?

I traded them from a friend but not for much. the polyps are so small that about all you can see is the aqua centers and the gold skirts, you can't see the inner ring just by looking down on them. He didn't know what they were either. I will try to get a daytime shot this afternoon when my lights are on (duh)

If they have an alternating skirt they are hornets if not African blue steel hope that helps

Blue steels have been known to melt....or was that AOI.....hmm.....put them in low light unless he has way more lighting than you

+1 on the melting just lost mine if there hornets good flow I actually think good flow for both

He had them in a frag tank, not sure of the lighting; I have them about 1/2 up my tank (18" tall) and not quite directly under my MHs which are mounted about 12 inches over my tank (150w 10k)...lower? or just keep an eye on them? I do have LEDs over the front of my tank and I keep the whites about 50%, but those are mainly over the sandbed
