ID Red growth on rock

Thought this was cyano at first. Deep red, almost crimson. It doesn't blow off and not slimy. Won't scrape off either. Is it possible this is some sort of sponge? I've never seen coralline this color before.

If it doesn't blow off and isn't fuzzy I'd say it's coraline algae, they come in a range of colors. It's not very common to see a sponge that likes growing in an aquarium in the bright light corals like, most prefer darker areas.
 
It’s coralline. I have it all over. It’s beautiful when it grows out.
