I'm going with NOT nightmares, but hard to tell much more from the pics. I think you're going to have to send me a couple to verify.
What kind of camera are you using? A few tips:
1) Get the frag as close to the glass as you can
-Clean the glass inside and out.
2)Use a tripod or something to set the camera on, and use the timer on your camera to avoid vibrations.
3) If possible, slow down the shutter speed so you get more light exposure. Barring that, adjust the ISO sensetivity up--this is not optimal. Don't go too high (above 800) or the "noise" becomes too high and the picture looks grainy. Try to stay under 400 film speed.
4)If possible, adjust white balance ont the camera for higher kelvin (K) ratings, or use the shadow/cloudcover setting.
