Went to a frag swap yesterday. Forgot the name of 2 frags I bought. PXL_20220213_051132892.jpg

The green stick?

The small green plate SPS? The guy I got the giant Monti from didn't remember the name but I'm fairly certain it is a Tubbs Stellata. Got it for only $40

Do you have any closer-in pictures? Something that clearly shows polyps or coloration under whiter light?

So far my guess is maybe monitpora spongodes? Looks too smooth for green anacropora.

Thank you. Yes it's definitely not an acro I haven't seen the polyps come out yet but I would guess purple. Even under room light it's slightly lime green.

To be clear: not an acropora, but anacropora. Still, I think monti is more likely from what little I can see.

I think the low number of replies are that a lot of SPS look the same when you can't see the true coloration, can't see the polyps, and can't see the growth pattern because it's still just a frag. Maybe when it settles in and you can see the polyps or when you get some growth and it starts branching or whatnot that will help point towards a better ID.

Pictures of the 2 in question under less blue.

First is definitely anacropora, and the second looks like a Chile pepper monti which is a plating monti.

Thanks! I think we have a winner here Chile pepper monti rings a bell and the stick does look like this guy. https://www.premierreefsmn.com/shop/p/slimeball-anacropora
While the polyps aren't out you can still see the holes for them and they a little to spaced out for I think almost all branching Montis and Birdsnests.
