Afternoon,

I've just taken a dead coral out. As it was attracting bubble algae. But I've noticed a pretty thing on the bottom. Any ideas?
Thought it could be a sponge. But its very symmetrical. Its the rounder shape ones. I know the pinks are a sponge.

you should take the dead frag off and put it back in to observe, a little Vibrant will clean that bubble algae right up.

It look a bit like Strawberry sponge anemone or Pseudocorynactis or Ball anemone
Have a look this ->images<-
Also check here at the end ->pictures<-
Drop if you can photo under water, will be easier to ID it then

I was thinking of along with the tunicates idea. My tank just has a mass of difference sponges and these. Got to love a diverse economy system
if it's the same one which I'm talking about, they are pretty, I have few of them in my DT. not sure and don't like the idea to spread like crazy, but they like more the darker areas, so don't think they will disturb any of the corals in.
But we are still waiting for the photo Please, the LR under water and some light :cool:

I've just took a video.
They are growing under the rocks.
There is so much stuff actually frying on that piece of rock.
I think I could see some aiptasia.

mmm, that's not ball anemone. I see on the video at 31s. it close or something like can be sea squirt - tunicates, or something else with shell on it (don't know is it hard with shell on or is soft jelly like?
And yes I saw the aiptasia on the top, try to take care of it, the rest look very heathy, only I hope the sponges don't get dry at some point, because then they start to die slowly and can poison your water a bit. In that case I'll drop bag of GAC in the sump on the water flow.
If I'm I'll pull out the sponge on 50-53s. on the video you drop, the black/grey one, because it don't look well and can done some damages I think (had one like this in a clump of GSP and it start to rot and smell bad after I try to clean the GSP from algae (out of the water)
