Cleaning my filters on the pony tank today... These are ALL up in the filter. Snail eggs of some type? Maybe... Or are they something I need to dump?

On the other hand it could just be horse poop. But it looks like gel egg sacs of some sort.

I dont think its horse poop, nor snail egg, I have no horses or snails in the sump and they grow there were its dark..

Ok ... Well they are probably ok... Maybe some sort of filter feeder. They will grow back no doubt ;)

Looks like pineapple sponges. Harmless filter feeders. I generally see a huge population boom of them when I have tons of detris around my tank.

i was thinking pineapple but wasnt quite sure, they live off high silica in the water, are you using RO/DI water?

Yes... RO/DI for sure. I had let my filters go too long though ... Was pretty full of gunk. These are 2 HOB for the pony tank and had grown quite a lot of algae in them. Most likely were headed toward being nitrate factories. They both got an excellent scrub down.
