Okay I bought this thing used and the pump impeller took a crap on me.

I will load photo later but looks like 120 or 160 cone (old style)

Bottom is 5.5". (From side to side not corner to corner). Bottom of cone is about 5" and its roughly 17" tall from the bottom to the top of the red flow adjuster, 17.5" to top of skimmer cup.

I can't find anything anywhere on measurements or ways to tell them apart it says nothing anywhere except SWC on cone!

:/

are those the ones with the hybrid meshwheel ?

Reefbuilders did a review of them years ago, and I believe they had the measurements of the 120 and the 160

The measurements were nothing like mine that I saw, if I even found the right article. There's was 7.5x6.5 or something. That's definitely not this thing!

Pics added above.

I don't think so? The impeller looks like my sedra 5000 and 9000 impellers but I admit I am not well versed here. It's a smaller impeller than both the pumps used for my asm G4 and g4X skimmers

If I remember correctly the swc skimmers used the atman pumps. Unfortunately these pumps are not made any more. I think @redfishbluefish has one of these skimmers and had a bit of info on the pumps.

Does anyone sell impellers still?

I'm pretty sure that's not a 160.....I say it's a 120. The reason is the neck looks considerably smaller than a 160 and the pump also looks smaller. The 160 used the Atmann 2500 while the 120 used the Atmann 1100. Although Atmann was supposedly going out of business 3 years ago or so, the pumps are again available. I quickly searched Amazon and found one HERE. Note that it comes with a pinwheel....which still works on the skimmers. Here are pictures of the neck of the 160 and an Atmann 2500 pump.

Althought Atmanns were known to crap out, here's what I'd do before I give up on the pump. Take it apart and soak everything in vinegar to clean it up. Buy nylon washers (I found them at HD in the drawers in the Hardware department) and install 2 or 3 of these washers on the impeller shaft between the impeller and the face plate. I think they were 1/8 inch washers. And now try and see if it pumps.

EDIT TO ADD: It's a 120. Check out this Reefbreeders review.....18 inches high.....and the pictures.

Looks smaller than my 160. Have had mine several years and has been a great skimmer. Anything I can do to make it more efficient?

Thanks much! I bought the impeller for the ph1100 on eBay for 20 shipped!

This SWC skimmer is used in conjunction with an ASM G4 in my 180 reef so in its absense I'm still skimming pretty healthily!

Thanks again for the help!
