Several months ago i addes 5 aiptasia eating nudibranches. I didnt see them after day 2. I took it as a failure or a expensive meal for my yellow coris wrasse.
I sold my coris wrasse a few weeks ago and notice these little guys on my sandbed and tucked in on my zoas. I havent notice any loss in zoas nor any closed up zoas.
I do have a serious infeststion of aiptasia in my tank.

So are these aiptasia eating nudibranches or some other type of harmful nudibranches that got through my dipping process on all new corals?

Thanks
Greg
They have green spikes

Were the zoos that you found them on green at all, because if that's their diet and they were there long enough they would take on that color. Good rule of thumb to go by is if you didn't put it there and you don't know what it is get rid if it. My .02 they look a bit too large and drab in color to be zoa eating nudis.

Yeah, they were on some green zoas, i believe they are zoa eating nudis as i found a few little spiral egg sacs on zoas where i found them. I scrapped the eggs off and will continue to keep a eye on the zoas.
I guess when i had my yellow coris wrasse he was keeping their population in check.
I have about 20 different zoas but luckly they are all on the sandbed so it was easy to inspect them all.

There was a time when i got most of these zoas from a local frag swap that i wasnt dipping long enough nor strong enough.

Plus dips do not kill the eggs.
