ID thing on rock..?

Not sure what this is. Some type of hard coral maybe? It looks odd and I have just noticed it after a couple of months. TIA!

Interesting. I can see that. If that's the case I've never seen them open, as I've just now noticed them there. I feel like if they were open at some point I'd notice right away.

imo they are just too irregularly spaced to be any of the sps encrusters

I think you may be right. They have tubes like tunicates do. I have a ridiculous amount of other tunicates in my tank. Red, orange..etc.
