ID this Algae??

not so much of a hitchhiker, but would like to know the specific species
Today I got my ocellated clownfish pair (yay!) and as a promotion, I got this bag of macro
Any idea on what it is??

It's a type of Clurpa.
Take a few minutes and google the calurpa types and see if you can finds the one you have .
It's cool stuff.

Really? I heard Calurpa goes sexual, but the shop assistant said it wasn't. Is he wrong, or is this a species specific thing?

I would look up the type first , as I can't make out enough detail though the bag.


And I'd look at it going sexual with a skeptical eye.
I'll just say, I have a calurpa in my fuges and have for about 8 years now.

I'll send some more (and hopefully better) pictures once the algae gets in the tank. Speaking of, would I need to drip acclimate or temp acclimate? There are some pods in it, too

So how did you maintain it? Also, I know you have to prune, so will I have to do that to each piece of Calurpa? Could I just tear a bit off each week?

Mine is all in the refugium.
