I had someone say these were Tub's and another person say they are definitely not. That's fine, but if not, is there a name for them? I saw a colony of Tub's once, and they were a deeper blue than these.

From the photos I would have to say that they are not Tubbs. But, they are awesome zoas, maybe a Tubbs morph? They seems to have a powder blue color and the Tubbs are deep blue.

the top picture is really close to Tubbs, but the second pic look more like Blue kisses. If they are the same zoa in both pics, i would have to say blue kisses.

not blue kisses....blue kisses have a pink center with a line from edge to edge

Tubs are more a smoother faced, small zoanthus with a whitish mouth and short skirts, though I am sure under the right conditions the skirt can become longer. The ones you have are araund from time to time but don'tremember wha tthey are being called. Not Tubs though. Maybe blue Abyss.

They are directly under a 250w metal halide, but near the bottom of the tank. Here's one more picture. I nearly lost the entire colony to an Angel who "didn't touch corals." :( Sorry about the picture being huge..

I agree on the Blue Abyss Amanda. That's about as close as I saw on zoaid. There are so many different zoas that look so similar it is really hard to get a definitive ID sometimes.

I agree, not Tubbs. But I have seen what happens to Tubbs under different lights, and just after fragging, they tend to lose some of the intense blue. I have not seen mine ever get the long skirts like that though.

They don't look like yours at all. I remember seeing yours not long after I got these. These are lighter blue, longer lashes, and they don't grow as tightly together as the Tubs I've seen.
