I don't think this is what I thought it was. Can you tell me what it is?

Almost looks like a long tentacle fungia, but I've never seen one with a stalk like that.

Pretty sure this is correct.

An easy way to tell...take it out of the water so the tentacles retract, and then you can view the skeleton under it. Pretty sure it's a baby Long Tentacle Plate though. They grow on stalks like that until they are dislodged and then become gypsies. Hehe...
 
Yep I do think it's a long tentacle fungia. Those need to go on the sanded don't they? I have no room on my sandbed. Who wants a long tentacle fungia??
 
I believe that IS a baby long tentacle plate, the species is Heliofungia actiniformis. Cool find that should be fun to watch grow (:

They do prefer being on the sand bed, until it's bigger it could probably stay on the plug and rack though. Sand bed is natural but on a flat rock or where they have room and won't get damaged on other rocks would work too.
