ID This Creature

Noticed this on the sand. Sat it on the rock for a photo shoot. Never seen anything like it.

The brown bottom is soft. The white top is rough like a starfish.

Any ideas?

Looks like the disc a snail uses to close itself in the shell. I forget what it's called though.

The disks can be found on Florida beaches. They have a prism affect. We used to call them cats eyes.

They pass often. Either crabs or even my fish. I turbo fell the other night and the coral beauty started attacking it before I could flip him over

I think my crabs have gotten abnormally large.
