Can someone ID this for me. Got it for $15 at my LFS. Similar to an acan but not quite. Acans has uneven shape these guys are almost round/oval and symmetrical all around. It must be rare cuz no one else in town has them.

oops double post

Looks like Acan Echinata. Agressive to it's neighbors unlike the Acan Lords (Micromussa).

Possibly Goniastrea which can have sweepers that are a few inches in length.

Theyre not hard to touch. Deflate 20% when lights are off. Have tiny clear sweepers in middle.

Could possibly be a small Acan bowerbanki.

Have you guys came across something with exact color and pattern before? Im guessing its not common around here in Houston.

Totally reminds me of my Goniastrea. Voracious eaters once they learn they are in an environment that feeds them every few days. And like I said their sweepers can be a few inches long, don't let those tiny feeder ones fool you, the longer ones come out when they feel threatened.

Mine was a good water quality measuring tool. Less puffy as the water quality diminished.

Whatd you feed yours? I just started doing 2-5 gallon WC weekly to keep it happy (25g cube) The sweepers are tiny maybe 1/5” if that. cant imagine its a few inches long.

Started with just Reef Roids, then mysis and eventually was feeding salmon and shrimp chunks.
